The Deal (Off-Campus #1) by Elle Kennedy (342 Pages)
Smart, Musical Girl Meets Handsome Hockey Star in This Unexpected College Romance
Hannah Wells has been doing just fine at her quaint Massachusetts College. She has a great roommate, she’s as smart as a whip, and she’s a phenomenal singer. However, when it comes to the spicy romance in her life, Hannah has never seemed to win in that department. Hannah’s crush on a sweet football player overcrowds her mind but she’s never had much luck in that department. So when Garrett Graham, conceited hockey captain, offers a deal she can’t refuse, Hannah decides to step out of her comfort zone. But as the two start to get closer, Hannah and Graham soon learn that their “deal” might turn out to be so much more.
A Steamy College Romance That Will Have Anyone Searching For Their Perfect Bad Boy.
The Deal was a story jam-packed with romance, spice, and some quick-witted characters that kept me turning the page. Truly, I finished this book in a day because I needed to know what was going to happen with Hannah and Graham with every twist and turn their relationship took. Written in a dual POV, Hannah and Graham really showed off the three-dimensional layers to their character with every flaw, mistake, and choice they made. I’ve always been a sucker for an athletic, protective bad boy and Graham fits that mold perfectly. Hannah’s quiet, sassy nature kept me entertained from page one and seeing these two intertwine was excellent. Kennedy’s writing flows wonderfully and makes the story easy to read. Her dynamic writing, fleshed-out characters, and steamy plots make The Deal the ultimate satisfyingly page-turner
The Bottom Line: 4/5 Brookie Stars
The Deal is a dynamic story set in college that will have readers turning each page to keep pace with Hannah and Graham. Not only were the characters absolutely swoon-worthy, but they were also as entertaining as it got. For a romantic and exciting read that’s perfect for Valentines’ Day, The Deal is the one to pick
